What is a Sibling doula
A certified birth or postpartum doula that have qualifications to support families who have older “babies” in the process of becoming big siblings by offering emotional support during labor and integration support for siblings when new baby arrives.
Benefits of having a sibling doula
- Eliminating some stress for parents and having peace of mind during labor about their older child(ren)s adjustment and well being.
Sibling Doula Investment
Starting rate of $800
- Consultation
- 2 hour “get to know” visit. Parents can either stay home for this visit or step out to run errands within that visitation time.
- On call availability
- Up to 12 hours of continuous care during Labor/Birth day. (please note any additional hours added after 12 hour support will be billed at the rate of $32 per hour. Doula may rely on a backup support to continue to provide support if needed but at no time will child(ren) be left unattended.)
A 50% deposit is due at the signing of contract. Remainder payments are due at 35 weeks gestation.
